I received this news a few weeks ago. I think some of the MET-CAMS visitors have had a chance to see it in my face. Now I can answer your concern about my reasons. I was not tired. I was very concerned about Alexa.
I can’t publish here the full history about her situation, but all who are interested may ask me about it privately through IM.
A few weeks ago she got into a big road accident. That is why she has not been online for such a long time. After this accident she stayed in a coma until the past couple of days. This news I got from her mother, but I had no chance to check it out myself. And I did not tell this to anyone because do not like to make people panic without reason.
Today I found the hospital where she was placed for the moment, and I took some photos on my cell phone.
Doctors say that her health is stable now, but I can’t say for certain that she feels herself well. This is what I know. She has a broken arm and jaw, critical damage to her left eye and damage to her back bone (but not significant and not broken).
She has had a few medical operations so far. But she needs a few more which cost a lot of money here. They are operations to restore her eye and plastic surgery on her jaw.
I will not want to tell how much she needs, because I don’t want to make anybody feel obligated.
I will thank you for any contribution which you can do for her and her family in this difficult situation.

I got some of your requests about health insurance. Most of the people here do not have it, because medicine is FREE, but ONLY for usual requests and usual operations. All others need money for special medications or to place the patient in a single room in the hospital. It is the same about doctors’ pay here. Usually their phrase here is ‘no money - no interest’. Alexa will need few a specific operations. One is plastic surgery. Another one is on her eye to recover all functions. And such operations are not free, because specific.

I visited Alexa today morning.
She is at single room with all services. Alexa is better: more smiles and more talks with me. No problems with brain and she had a clear minds. I tryed to put her in very positive mood.
Her arm is not so bad as i thought: fracture without deposition. It will heal by itself during a month.
Bad fracture in jaw but it will need just a little plastic operation and therapy. She can eat herself now without help.
About her back - she will need 3 months special sport therapy with special programm in sport centre (excersises). Next few month she will need to wear special blocking corset for her back. So she can walk her self. But no run etc
After few days her mother will take her home yet. And after she will move to the Kiev to ophthalmology clinic . Do not know details about and how long time it will take.
I print all your messages and e-mail to her. THNX FOR ALL FRIENDS for a pieces of HAPPINESS which you bring to Alexa throuh your messages and cards to her.

Alexa, dear Sun, I have your smiling shining face close to the tender one of Selene on a paper photo permanently at 40 cm from my nose. You give me strenghts so often… sure that I will do my best to give you back in my litl measure.
I’ve no detail but my profesionnal experience makes me very optimistic on physical and psychological capacity of restoration helped by nowadays surgery and reeducation.
As we know you, your strenght energy and passion for life and beauty as I know how much you will be wrapped with warm love in critical period and after, I know you will only take half the time of a common human to restore and find back your enthusiasm and eternal beauty.
I’m sure the need to help you from your true friends will be just eficient but not to heavy and invasive for you and our dear Selene.

I am wondering WHEN you plan to see Alex next. She truly is an angel, and deserves everything we can offer her, emotionally, spiritually, financially, and physically. My ability to be linguistically creative, though mediocre at times, seems to fail me now. The words that I want to use to describe what I feel inside are not coming forth. Maybe I can try to take some pictures to show her how I see beauty in this world, just as I see the beauty she holds inside. If she needs a place to rest and rehab afterwards, she is more than welcome at my place, and so are you. I love you both. Kisses and hugs. You may cry on my shoulder as much as you need.

Selene I have told you in private how shocked I was to learn of Alexa’s situation. As a doctor I know better than many, the help, that the support of loved ones can give to people who are sick or injured . All of us here love both of you very much and each in his way will doubtless do what they are able to help you both.

I have not known you for as long as many of your friends and fans here, but you have captured my heart just the same. Then just a few minutes to make the whole world seem brighter with your wonderful singing.
